It's not easy being green. Did you know that more than 20 eco-unfriendly processing steps go into a traditional pair of pre-washed jeans? During the last decade, many denim manufacturers have begun changing the environmental hazards of their processing by recycling their wastes and greening their production steps. With STN®, we will investigate some of the new green trends in denim manufacturing.

ZBMATH

Zentralblatt MATH (ZBMATH) is the world’s most comprehensive reference database in mathematics, which makes it an indispensable tool for mathematicians both at university level and in industry.

The database incorporates the Jahrbuch für Mathematik (1868 bis 1943) – the predecessor of ZBMATH –, ensuring systematic coverage of mathematical publications dating back to 1868, and in some cases even to 1826.
ZBMATH currently comprises about 3 million records from more than 3,500 journals and 1,100 series, as well as monographs, textbooks, conference proceedings, and electronic documents. About 120,000 new records are added each year; of these, about 40 percent are original peer reviews by more than 6,000 internationally renowned experts. Worldwide coverage, including Eastern Europe and Asia, is ensured by cooperations with twelve scientific institutions.

The database has state-of-the-art features addressing the users‘ specific requirements. The user-friendly display integrates MathML (Mathematics Markup Language) and enables the display of complex mathematical equations. There is an author identification function for searching and unique identification of author names, which is indispensable for establishing complete publication lists of relevant publications in mathematics. ZBMATH is jointly published by FIZ Karlsruhe, Springer-Verlag, the Heidelberg Academy of Science, and the European Mathematical Society. There is also a Scientific User Committee in an advisory function, headed by Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut in Oberwolfach.
